Dance artist website overview

Website I: Calvin Harris
Prominent images include an "out now" section with the artist's latest release, as well as the artist's name and a menu bar for site navigation. Underneath this, there is a list of Harris' albums, as well as a twitter feed in the right sidebar.

Website II: David Guetta
David Guetta is seen at the forefront of the website's homepage. The main fonts used are Sans-serif fonts, giving a clean and modern aesthetic to represent the modern form of music he creates. In addition, Guetta's upcoming tours are detailed, with lists showing dates of shows and other appearances. The site also contains some featured music videos.

Website III: Wilkinson
Wilkinson's website is also host to a more modern aesthetic, featuring the "one-page" design, sans-serif fonts and contrasting/minimal design choices. However, in contrast with Guetta's website design, Wilkinson's is more colourful, deviating from a black-and-white design and using more pastel colours, increasing the overall brightness of the site.

Website IV: The Chainsmokers
The Chainsmokers' website is a mixup of other designs covered previously. The website features a fairly minimal/utilitarian layout, however the typefaces, fonts and colours are more akin to the Calvin Harris' design. Similarly to others, the design features a featured Spotify player in the browser, with their most recent songs on display, as well as some music videos and tour dates. Unlike others, however, this website is not a one-page design, instead relying upon multiple pages to display the relevant information, and therefore can be construed as an old(er) website.

Conclusion
In conclusion, we can see that many of the Dance artists value increased viewer feedback on their websites - they all include some form of promotion or another for their various social media platforms, and therefore serve more as a hub or nexus of the band/artist's information rather than as the one-stop shop for all news and releases. Almost every artist also includes videos or photos about themselves in one way or another, such as promotional shots of the artist or just music videos and pictures of the set.
In terms of design, the main focus of all of the websites is to be minimalistic and utilitarian in nature. There is a split between a one-page design or the multi-page design, however each of the artists' websites are clean and efficient at conveying information. They are all expertly designed, and have no white space, yet they have sufficient area to convey points of interest well and differentiate the different sections - something which is especially important when using the one page design ethic.

How this will help with my design
In addition to all of the points listed in Section 5 (Conclusion), there are many things I have taken from these examples that will inform my design choice. I am definitely going to have a clean, minimalist design (enforcing the modern genre of Dance music) with a one-page ethic. This will create a clear sense of the modern-ness of the dance music genre as a whole, and the emerging new website design aesthetics and ethos that we see across the internet today, from big websites like Google, to the smaller websites like these.
