This opening sequence is a parody of the “AI” known as Max Headroom from the mid 80s show. The clear signals that this is the case are the colourful lines in the background, the suit and tie and the sunglasses shown in certain cuts. There is also the case of fast jump cuts in succession which suggest that the character is a reference to Max Headroom’s distorted and cut-up/looped voice.

Quite outlandish in terms of setting in this scene. Cables leading to Eminem and the surrounding setting of bookshelves and stacks of old televisions in the background of the scene, towered in a strange way.

In this scene, Eminem is the center of attention around a stereotypical “posse” for lack of better words. Most, if not all, are dark skinned and have less than luxurious clothing on while dancing to Eminem (center) who is rapping the lyrics heard in the video.
This is an example of postmodernism as Rap and Rap culture is only something which emanated in this period and many stereotypes are set. The only thing that is out of place here is that Eminem is a white rapper which goes against the conventions/stereotypes, again a largely post-modern effect.
